Exuma Express Part II

Here’s a photo album from our recent travels - Warderick Wells to Normans Cay to Nassau.

A second album also is attached with some photos of Jubilee & crew taken by our friends on Kwitcherbitchen. These photos - including some great underwater shots - were taken over the past month as we made our way together from Georgetown to Long Island and Rum Cay and then back up the Exuma Chain to Norman’s Cay.

Pat & Kelly spent our last day at Warderick Wells volunteering as divers for some underwater repair work. They got to use an underwater hydrolic drill to make holes in the coral sea bed for mooring pins. They then took cement underwater in tupperware containers to secure the pins. Once set, the balls will securely hold boats up to 50 feet, even through a hurricane. It was a great excuse to spend the day diving, plus they worked off our mooring fee for that night!

Our visit to Norman’s was brief, but after reading “Turning the Tide: One Man Against the Medellin Cartel” with the kids (about the time in the late 80s when drug lord Carlos Lehder controlled the island) we were excited to see the place with such an infamous history. Wish we’d had time more time to really explore.
We arrived in Nassau on Saturday in time to show Eric around a bit before sending him off to the airport. Tonight brought the unexpected treat of a great fireworks show just across the harbor.

Love the underwater pictures - just gorgeous! We especially liked Eric's one shoulder scuba look - very sexy :-)
Are you heading back north??
