We finally booked our flight today to the East coast. JUNE 12, 2007, is now our official departure date. We thought that we'd leave following the end of school for the kids. But, since the airfare doubles following the end of school, we are heading out two days before the end of school and cutting our airfare in half. Can't beat that deal and Drew was pretty happy to learn he's getting out of school just a little bit sooner than his buddies.
Looks like we'll be on the boat by June 13, 2007. We'll provision in Noank, CT where the boat is located and then most likely make Block Island our first sail and stop over before deciding where to head next. If the timing works out right, we hope to be in New York Harbor for the Fourth of July and the fireworks show!!
